MiniBar José Andrés by is 2 Stars on the Michelin Guide, 2020. 4 Stars by the The Washington Post, 2019 and #1 Best Restaurant Washingtonian, 2019.
Prices: $275 per person, without drink pairing or gratuity.
Drink pairing: José’s Pairing, which includes unique and rare wines from around the world: $195 per person. The non-alcoholic, Virtue Selection, is $75 per person. I recommend both. However, my personal preference is not to drink alcohol with my food, so I highly recommend the Virtue Selection pairing. Each drink is just as fun as each course.
We frequent the DC area often but it’s usually to visit friends and family and often don’t have a lot of extra time for a dinner alone. We’ve done a lot of sightseeing and shopping with everyone but this time we made room for one of the places I’ve had my eye on for a little while now. After our experience with Saison, we were dying for another culinary adventure.
While I feel our experience at Saison was better, they were very different and unique from one another.
