When I decided to make a more permanent switch to adapting a more healthy lifestyle, I quickly got tired of the same thing everyday and ventured out to see how I could add more flavor to my routine with subtle changes. So, as I was sitting and eating my Daves bread with my boiled eggies and fruit, I thought about how much those seasoned eggs that come with ramen would be. So, I boiled up some more eggs, made a marinade, tweaked it a bit, and now it’s a morning staple. The same marinade can be used for only two rounds of eggs. After that, it doesn’t season the eggs as well anymore and tastes rather bland.
So for about 6 eggs, this is what I use
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons vinegar to boiling water. Helps the eggs peel better
Boil extra large eggs for around 8-9 minutes.
Normal eggs 6 minutes
Marinade:
1 1/2 cup water or stock
6 Tablespoons soy sauce
6 Tablespoons
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce (optional for deeper color)
Directions:
Add to ziplock bag
Toss in eggs
Remove as much air as possible when you seal the bag up.
Marinade for at least 3 hours. I leave my eggs in the marinade as I eat them, it usually takes about 2 days worth of breakfast before I have to make another batch…and I leave them in the marinade the entire time.
