The overall vibe from the city was laid back and friendly. It didn’t feel like there were many strangers around with as inviting as everyone was that we came across. We stayed at The Maxwell Hotel, I wish I had gotten some good pictures of it but was too excited to get to exploring the center. They do provide shuttle service as well as bicycles to use for your stay.
Pike Place Market
I came very ill prepared to be able to talk anything here with me home. I didn’t realize shipping was a thing and I should have packed lighter to make room for some of the local canned goods as well.Â
Where We Ate
We started with oysters at Taylor Shelfish, and moved on to a few local places.Â
Space NeedleÂ
Making reservations for 9:30pm is nothing short of exhausting and borderline torture if you don’t have the adrenalin of excitement pumping through you. We basically essentially ate at midnight eastern standard time. It’s not the absolute BEST food but it’s good…you’re really paying for the experience, great 360 degree city views. The floor slowly moves to give you that 360 degree view. I was hopefully I wouldn’t feel the floor moving and I didn’t. I was concerned I might.Â
Chihuly Garden and Glass
Such a cool place. The glass is just mesmerizing. A must see in Seattle.Â
