Muir Woods
Over the Golden Gate Bridge about 30 minutes north. I really wish we could have went to Yosemite, but it was too far out of the way during this trip. It appears they made some changes to visiting the woods. You book your visit in advance to ensure there will be enough parking for everyone and it’s not overly crowded during desirable days/hours. Parking was a breeze and navigating the trails was comfortable and very easy.
Alcatraz
One of the cooler things to do in San Fransisco, this cozy little prison island. Host to some of the worst of the worst. Good luck escaping, although, some may have. It’s also a good idea to bring a jacket or hoodie, the ride over is a bit chilly…western waters are cold.
Perfect example as to why my husband isn’t the director of our selfies together.

Olympic Club
My husband makes it a habit to play golf literally every where we travel. Which is fine, I’ve picked up a habit of chasing Michelin restaurants. he loved this course and deems it as one of the hardest courses he’s played thus far. I didn’t attend this round, I slept in.
